In October 2023, the FCRSC board of directors passed several initiatives for the funding of projects from the interest earned on the principal of The Jantel Fund.  The first interest payment was received at the end of July 2023.  As of August 1, 2023 applications may be made for the rebates. To meet rebate guidelines – submissions for OFA rebates or bursary applications for student beginning a program on or after August 1, 2023 will be considered for rebate.

The Jantel Fund is pleased to be able to provide Society members with rebates for OFA hip, elbow and patella clearances and to offer breeders rebates for litter clearances. The Fund is also pleased to be able to provide a bursary to those who are studying veterinary medicine or technology.

If you wish to apply for one of those rebates or the bursary, please complete the appropriate webform and submit.   Once the information is verified, the rebate will be e-transferred to you.

The Jantel Fund also sponsors the FCRSC member subscriptions to Flatcoat Data.  Flatcoat Data is a UK Flatcoat Database that is being used to store data about dog and health information.  There are now over 200,000 Flatcoated Retrievers on the database.  We encourage Society members to enter their Flat-Coated Retriever information to support the collection of data and to store dogs’ health information.  All Society members have free access to the database.  Please visit the website at flatcoatdata.com and follow the instructions in the Site Info/News to obtain your free log-in information.
