Flat-Coated Retrievers are among the most versatile of dogs.  Although first and foremost a sporting breed, they also excel at obedience competitions, tracking, agility, and just about any doggy activity one would want to pursue.  Their versatility largely stems from their energy levels combined with their biddability and desire to spend time interacting with the people they love.
